The value of MES, however, can be greatly amplified if integrated into the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) framework. This is a research paper delivered by the International Automotive Research
Centre (IARC) of the Warwick Manufacturing Group (University of Warwick).
The paper was delivered at the Seventh International Research Conference
on Quality Innovation and Knowledge Management in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia,
February 2005.
It describes the IARC’s Craftsmanship Project and its efforts to
work with industry to develop and improve solutions for ensuring OEM access
to relevant quality data from the supply chain throughout the New Product
Introduction (NPI) process.
